An important pillar of the Sibiu International Festival is the support it receives from the business community. Many companies, large and small, have committed to supporting excellence in the performing arts, becoming longstanding partners of FITS. For the past three years, GLS Romania, headquartered in Sibiu, has chosen to be part of the FITS story, contributing to the promotion of culture and community development.
Diana Pană, the coordinator of GLS Romania’s Marketing Department, shared some of the company’s directions to actively contribute to community values:

In 2024, significant changes occurred in the leadership of GLS. The baton was passed to a new generation of leaders who will undoubtedly carry forward the values of the GLS brand. What are the new directions you have set for yourselves?
In 2021, GLS Romania marked an important moment with its rebranding and the adoption of a new visual identity. However, we have preserved and continue to uphold the values that have shaped us into a well-established organization with high standards. In 2024, we aim to continue on the same solid path, prioritizing people and being responsible and attentive to details, whether it’s about individuals or the planet. We fulfill our promises and take responsibility for our actions, persisting until we achieve the desired results. Just as we have accustomed our clients and recipients, the quality of our services remains a crucial pillar for us.
This collaborative approach allows us to innovate and adapt to market requirements while maintaining an unwavering commitment to our defining values. Additionally, we will expand our corporate social responsibility initiatives by actively engaging in community projects. These will include partnerships with non-profit organizations, sponsorship of cultural and educational events, and the implementation of sustainable practices across all aspects of our business.

Marius Gancea is the new sales manager at GLS Romania this year. I asked him about the objectives he has set for himself and how he identifies with this company.

My objectives in the new position include continuing to strengthen relationships with existing clients, attracting new clients, and exploring new markets. Additionally, I aim to enhance internal processes to ensure increased efficiency and a superior customer experience. I want to develop and implement innovative sales strategies that keep us at the forefront of the industry.
What are the essential skills for a high-performing salesperson?
Excellent communication and listening skills are crucial. Understanding customer needs and providing appropriate solutions is essential. Resilience and adaptability are also critical in a dynamic sales environment. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships is essential, as are analytical skills to interpret sales data and identify market trends. Furthermore, successful salespeople must be passionate about their work and maintain a positive attitude. Motivation and determination are key factors that can make the difference between success and failure. Lastly, professional ethics and integrity are fundamental for gaining and maintaining customer trust.”
